Christine M. Sneed is an American short story writer, and visiting professor at DePaul University.[1] Her book, Portraits of a Few of the People I’ve Made Cry, won the 2009 AWP Grace Paley Prize.[2]

She grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Libertyville, Illinois.[3] She graduated from Georgetown University, and from Indiana University with an MFA.[4]
Her work has appeared in 2008 Best American Short Stories, Ploughshares, New England Review, Southern Review, Meridian, Pleiades, Massachusetts Review, Greensboro Review.
She lives in Evanston.
